I f working on water pump from engine LDS-465-1,
d o steps 1, 3, 4, and 5. F o r all other engines, do
s t e p s 2, 3, 4, and 5.

C h e c k that water pump housing (1) has no cracks or other damage. If
d a m a g e d , get a new water pump assembly.

C h e c k that water pump housing (2) has no cracks or other damage. If
d a m a g e d , get a new water pump assembly.
C h e c k that studs (3) have no burrs or other damage to threads. Fix minor

d a m a g e with thread chaser. I f more repair is needed, get new studs.
4.
C h e c k that nuts (4) have no damaged threads. If damaged, get new nuts.
5.
C h e c k that water pump (5) has no damage or cracks. If damaged, get a new
w a t e r pump assembly.
