I n s p e c t i o n and Repair.
FRAME 1
1.
C h e c k that six rocker arms (1) are not cracked. If any rocker arm is cracked,
get a new one.
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an
o p e n flame. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when sol-
v e n t i s u s e d . U s e only in well-ventilated places. Failure
to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage
t o equipment.
2.
C h e c k that six rocker arms (1) have no nicks, scratches or burrs. Fix small
n i c k s , scratches or burrs with a fine mill file or crocus cloth dipped in dry
c l e a n i n g s o l v e n t . I f more repair is needed, get a new rocker arm.
3.
Check that six bushings (2) are not loose, scored or damaged. If any bushing
i s loose, scored or damaged, get a new rocker arm.
CAUTION
It is easy to damage the equipment if you do not know
w h a t you are doing. Do not try to do this task unless
y o u are experienced at it, or you have an experienced
person with you.
4.
C h e c k that six valve contact pads (3) are not worn or damaged. If any pad is
w o r n or damaged, get a new rocker arm (1).
5.
C h e c k that six valve adjusting screws (4) and nuts (5) are not worn or
d a m a g e d . C h e c k that screws do not bind in rocker arms (1). If any screw
o r nut is worn or damaged, get a new one.
