NOTE
I n t a k e valve seats (1) are bigger than exhaust valve
seats.
1.
C h e c k that three intake valve seats (1) are not cracked or loose. If any
i n t a k e valve seat is cracked or loose, take it out using engine valve seat
knockout tool.
2.
C h e c k that three intake valve seats (1) are not burned or pitted. If any
i n t a k e valve seat is burned or pitted, take it out using engine valve seat
knockout tool.
3.
S e t cylinder head (2) on side as shown. Coat face if a new intake valve (3)
w i t h Prussian blue. Put new intake valve in cylinder head so that it rests
a g a i n s t any intake valve seat (1).
T u r n new intake valve (3) 1/2-turn in either direction.

P u s h new intake valve (3) straight out of cylinder head (2). Check for an
e v e n coating of Prussian blue all the way around intake valve seat (1) just
c h e c k e d . If there is not an even coating, tag intake valve seat just checked
f o r grinding by machine shop.
6.
D o steps 3 through 5 again for other two intake valve seats (1).
