T a k e out two pipe plugs (1 and 2).

NOTE

A rust colored stain on cylinder head (3) below expansion

p l u g s (4, 5, 6, and 7) means there is coolant leakage.

S o m e cylinder heads (3) do not have three expansion

plugs (4).

Check that three expansion plugs (4), three expansion plugs (5), expansion

p l u g (6), and expansion plug (7) show no signs of coolant leakage.

If any expansion plug (4, 5, 6 or 7) shows signs of coolant leakage, punch

hole in plug and pry it out. Put in new plug using brass rod and hammer.
