b. Cleaning.
(1) Oil pump tubes.
(a) Engines LD-465-1, LD-465-lC, and LDT-465-lC.

CAUTION
B e careful not to damage screens (1) diring cleaning
w i t h brass wire probe.
1 . Clean three oil pump tubes (2) w i t h a brass wire probe. Use a wire brush to
t a k e off carbon and sludge.
WARNING
D r y cleaning solvent is flammable.  D o not use near
an open flame.  K e e p a fire extinguisher nearby when
solvent is used. Use only in well-ventilated places.
F a i l u r e to do this may result in injury to personnel
a n d damage to equipment.
2 . Wash three oil pump tubes (2) by flushing with dry cleaning solvent.
WARNING
Eye shields must be worn when using compressed air.
E y e injury can occur if eye shields are not used.
3 . Dry three oil pump tubes (2) by blowing them out with compressed air.
4. Clean bracket (3) and flange (4) with dry cleaning solvent. Use a stiff brush
t o take off sludge and gum deposits.
