1.
C h e c k that crankshaft damper and pulley (1) is not cracked. If crankshaft
d a m p e r and pulley is cracked, throw it away and get a new one.
2.
C h e c k that rubber insert (2) in crankshaft damper and pulley (1) is not
c r a c k e d .  I f rubber insert is cracked, throw away damper and pulley and
get a new one.
NOTE
Front and rear halves of damper and pulley (1) are held
together by rubber insert (2).
3.
C h e c k that rubber
insert (2) has not pulled away from front or rear half of
c r a n k s h a f t damper
and pulley (1).  I f rubber insert has pulled away from
f r o n t or rear half
of crankshaft damper and pulley, throw away crankshaft
damper and pulley
and get a new one.
4.
H o l d rear half of crankshaft damper and pulley (1) on floor with your feet.
T r y to turn front half of crankshaft damper and pulley. If front half of
c r a n k s h a f t damper and pulley is loose, throw away crankshaft damper and
p u l l e y and get a new one.
