7-7. STARTER MOTOR TESTING (CONT).
a. Testing.
(1) Measure voltage between ground (1) and positive terminal (2) of starter solenoid. If there is no
voltage reading, refer to Electrical System Troubleshooting (para 2-15).
(2) Turn ENGINE START switch to ON while holding ENGINE STOP switch engaged.
(3) Soldier A cranks engine while Soldier B measures voltage between ground (1) and wire No. 45 on
starter solenoid.
(4) If there is at least 24 volts reading and starter does not crank engine, replace starter (para 7-8).
b.
Follow-on  Maintenance.
(1) Install engine side panel (TM 9-2320-279-10).
(2) Close engine cover (TM 9-2320-279-10).
