Cleaning. There are no special cleaning procedures needed. Refer to

(1) Check that threads on screws are not stripped or crossthreaded. Fix
d a m a g e d threads with a tap. I f more repair is needed, get new screws.
( 2 ) C h e c k t h a t a l l p a r t s a r e n o t crack e d . W e l d cracks . Re f e r t o T M 9 - 2 3 7 .
( 3 ) C h e c k t h a t a l l p a r t s are not dented. Straighten dents. Refer to
F M 43-2. If more repair is n e e d e d , g e t n e w p a r t s .
