C h e c k that seat frame (1) and seat base (2) have no bends, cracks or wear.

R e p a i r by straightening or welding. Refer to TM 9-237 for welding

procedures.

Check that handle (3), pin (4), and spring (5) have no cracks, wear or

o t h e r damage. I f parts are damaged, get new ones in their place.

C h e c k that seat cushions (6 and 7) have no tears or worn canvas. If

c u s h i o n s are damaged, refer to FM 43-3.
