FRAME 2
NOTE
Cylinder bores (2) in crankcase (1) are machined to
t w o different sizes. Cylinder sleeves are also machined
t o two different sizes to fit different size cylinder bores.
T h e two sizes of cylinder bores and cylinder sleeves are
called "Y" and "Z".
A l l six cylinder bores (2) are not always the same size.
C y l i n d e r bores (2) and cylinder sleeves are called by
n u m b e r s one to six counting from front to rear of
crankcase.
1.
Look
at left side of crankcase (1) opposite each cylinder bore (2) about one
inch
below top of crankcase. The letter "Y" opposite a cylinder bore means
this
is a Y-size cylinder bore. The letter "Z" opposite a cylinder bore means
this
is a Z-size cylinder bore.
NOTE
Readings must be within limits given in table 4-28. If
r e a d i n g s are not within given limits, throw away part
and get a new one.
