6-5. FLAME HEATER COMPONENT TEST.
NOTE
This task is the same for all intake manifold
flame heater systems. The side - mounted flame
h e a t e r system is shown for this task.
a . Flame Heater Fuel Pump Test.
FRAME 1
T a k e off fuel lines (1) from nozzle (2).

P u t fuel line fitting ends (3) into container (4).

T u r n heater to ON position for 15 seconds, then turn heater to OFF position.
C h e c k that fuel is in container (4).

I f no fuel is in container (4), test and repair flame heater system. Refer to
p a r a 4-58 through 4-80.
I f fuel is in container (4), put back fuel lines (1) on nozzle (2).
