6-4. CONNECTING ENGINE TO DYNAMOMETER,

NOTE

I n order to join engine to the dynamometer,

i t may be necessary to use different types of

a d a p t e r s or fittings other than shown. If

f i t t i n g s are not available, tell machine shop to

make them.

T a k e out oil gage rod (1).

P u t two hose clamps (2) on outlet hose (3).

P u t one end of outlet hose (3) on engine water outlet (4) and other end on

t e s t s t a n d r e t u r n t u b e ( 5 ) . P u s h two hose clamps (2) to ends of outlet

h o s e and tighten.

P u t two hose clamps (2) on inlet hose (6).

Put one end of inlet hose (6) on engine water inlet (7) and other end on test

s t a n d s u p p l y t u b e ( 8 ) . Push two hose clamps (2) to ends of inlet hose and

tighten them.
