5-7. CRANKSHAFT REAR OIL SEAL AND HOUSING.

1.
P u t crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1) on arbor press table (2), Gasket
s u r f a c e of rear oil seal housing should face down as shown.
2.
L i g h t l y coat oil seal (3) with lubricating oil.
3.
S t a r t oil seal (3) into crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1) by hand. Oil
s e a l lip (4) should face down as shown.
NOTE
Square, flat metal plate may be used instead of round
p r e s s i n g a r b o r ( 5 ) . P l a t e must be bigger than diameter
o f oil seal (3).
4.
U s i n g pressing arbor (5) with diameter larger than outside diameter of oil
s e a l (3), press oil seal all the way into crankshaft rear oil seal housing (1).
