There are no special cleaning procedures needed. Refer to

c l e a n i n g procedures given in para 4-3.

b. Inspection and Repair.

FRAME

Check that f i v e nuts (1) are not stripped, crossthreaded or damaged in any

o t h e r w a y . I f nuts are damaged, get new ones.

Check that a c c e s s c o v e r ( 2 ) i s n o t c r a c k e d , b e n t , d e n t e d o r d a m a g e d i n a n y

o t h e r w a y . T a k e out minor bends or dents. I f more repair is needed, get a

new access c o v e r .

WARNING

D r y cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an

o p e n flame. K e e p a fire extinguisher nearby when

s o l v e n t i s u s e d . U s e only in well-ventilated places.

F a i l u r e to do this may result in injury to personnel and

d a m a g e to equipment.

C h e c k that access cover (2) has no nicks, burrs or s c r a t c h e s on gasket

s u r f a c e . T a k e out minor nicks, burrs or scratches with a fine mill file or

c r o c u s cloth dipped in dry cleaning solvent.
