FRAME 1
1.
C h e c k that three expansion plugs (1) are not loose, leaking or damaged in any
o t h e r w a y .  I f any expansion plug is damaged, get a new one.
2.
C h e c k that four studs (2) are not loose, stripped, crossthreaded or damaged
i n any other way.  F i x minor thread damage with a thread chaser. If more
r e p a i r is needed, get a new part.
NOTE
To check for cracks, refer to para 4-4.
3.
C h e c k that intake manifold (3) is not cracked, bent or damaged in any other
w a y .  I f repair is needed, get a new part.
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an
o p e n flame.  Keep a fire extinguisher nearby when sol-
v e n t i s u s e d .  U s e only in well-ventilated places.
Failure to do this may result in injury to personnel and
d a m a g e to equipment.
4.
C h e c k that gasket surfaces (4) have no nicks, burrs or scratches. Take out
m i n o r nicks, burrs or scratches with a fine mill file or crocus cloth dipped
i n dry cleaning solvent.  If more repair is needed, get a new intake manifold
(3).
