C h e c k that all threaded parts are not stripped o r damaged in any way. If

t h r e a d s are damaged, get a new part.

C h e c k that covers (1) are not bent or dented. T o repair bent or dented

c o v e r s , refer to FM 43-2. I f covers are badly b e n t or dented, get a new cover.

C h e c k that covers (1) are not torn or cracked. To repair tears or cracks,

r e f e r to TM 9-237. I f covers are badly torn or cracked, get a new cover.
