C h e c k that faces of three intake valves (1) and three exhaust valves (2)

a r e not badly burned, pitted, worn or heavily discolored from overheating.

T h r o w away damaged or worn intake valves (1) and exhaust valves (2) and

g e t new ones. S e n d slightly pitted or burned intake valves and exhaust

valves to machine shop for grinding. See figure 4-6.
