t a s k unless you are experienced at it or you
h a v e an experienced person with you.

Intake valves (1) are bigger than exhaust valves (2).
1.
C h e c k that three intake valves (1) and three exhaust valves (2) are not
c h i p p e d o r c r a c k e d .  T h r o w away chipped or cracked intake valves and
e x h a u s t valves and get new ones.
2.
C h e c k that locking grooves in stems of three intake valves (1) and three
e x h a u s t valves (2) are not damaged.  T h r o w away intake valves and exhaust
v a l v e s with damaged locking grooves and get new ones.
3.
C h e c k that stems of three intake valves (1) and three exhaust valves (2) are
not badly pitted, scored or scratched.  Throw away intake valves and exhaust
valves with badly pitted, scored or scratched stems and get new ones.
