I n s p e c t i o n and Repair.

FRAME

C h e c k that 30 screws (1) are not stripped or damaged in any other way. If

a n y screw is damaged, get a new one. C h e c k that 30 lockwashers (2) are

n o t c h i p p e d , c r a c k e d , o r b e n t . I f any lockwasher is damaged, get a new one.

C h e c k that two drain plugs (3) are not stripped or damaged in any other

w a y . F i x minor thread damage with a thread chaser. If more repair is needed,

g e t a new drain plug.

I f working on engine LDS-465-1, check that drain plug (4) or fuel injection

p u m p oil drain elbow (5) are not stripped or damaged in any other way. Fix

m i n o r thread damage with a thread chaser. I f more repairs are needed, get a

new part.

GO TO FRAME 2
