I f silver-coated plating is worn off bearing half (1),
b r a s s color of bearing underneath plating coat will
be seen.

C h e c k that none of the 14 main bearing halves (1) is bent, scored or pitted.
C h e c k that silver-coated plating is not worn off any of 14 main bearing halves.
2 . If any main bearing half (1) is damaged or worn, go to frame 33.
