It is easy to damage the equipment if you do not know
w h a t you are doing. D o not try to do this task unless
y o u are experienced at it or you have an experienced
person with you.

NOTE
Main bearing caps (1) and thrust main bearing cap (2)
a r e line bored with crankcase (3). If main bearing cap
o r thrust bearing cap is cracked, the whole crankcase
a s s e m b l y and all bearing caps must be thrown away.

I n s p e c t crankcase assembly (3), six main bearing caps (1), and thrust main
b e a r i n g c a p ( 2 ) . R e f e r to para 4-4.
2.
R e p a i r minor damage to crankcase assembly (3), six main bearing caps (1), and
main thrust bearing cap (2). Refer to para 4-5.
