FRAME 1

L o o s e n 12 adjusting screw locknuts (1) and turn 12 adjusting screws (2) to

t h e left to loosen tension on valve springs (3).

T a k e out 12 screws and lockwashers (4).

T a k e out front and rear rocker arm assemblies (5) . Tag each rocker arm

assembly so it can be put back in the same place.

NOTE

When pushrods (6) are taken out, valve tappets (7) may

come out with them. I f this happens, tag tappet so it

c a n be put back in the same bore it came out of. Number

v a l v e tappets, tappet bores, and push rods (6) by num-

bers one to 12 starting from front to rear of engine.

T w i s t , lift out, and tag 12 push rods (6).
