using the loading valve (2) in the bottom of the tank. A hydraulic motor driven pump (3) is used to deliver
fuel during all fueling operations. An electric motor driven pump (4) serves as a backup pumping unit in
case the tanker loses hydraulic power. Fuel delivery hoses are stored on retracting reels (5) located on each
side of the fueling station. Two reel mounted static grounding cables (6) are provided for grounding
w h a t e v e r is being fueled or defueled. An emergency shutoff valve and a hand-actuated deadman control
are included for greater safety. Hand-operated valves attached to the delivery hoses control fuel flow
d u r i n g refueling.
