CAUTION
Do not use flame or high heat to warm up thermo-
s t a t ( 1 ) .  Flame or high heat will cause thermostat
t o lose calibration.
1.
W a r m thermostat (1) to 75F or higher.
2.
U s i n g an ohmmeter, check continuity through thermostat (1). Place one
o h m m e t e r lead on terminal (2) and the other ohmmeter lead on terminal (3).
3.
I f circuit is closed, get new thermostat (1). Go to frame 7. If circuit is
open, do step 4.
CAUTION
D o not place thermostat (1) in any type of liquid to
cool it.  T h e r m o s t a t is not sealed from liquids.
4.
P l a c e thermostat (1) in refrigerator set to 20F for 30 minutes.
5.
D o step 2 again.
6.
I f circuit is open, get new thermostat (1).
