C h e c k that two hinge halves (1) have no cracks or worn hinge pin holes. Weld

c r a c k e d h i n g e ha l f . R e f e r t o T M 9 - 2 3 ' / .

Check that hood side panel (2) has no dents, bends or cracks. Straighten

bends and dents. Refer to FM 43-2. Weld cracks. Refer to TM 9-237.

C h e c k that two latches (3) work freely without binding. If latches are

d a m a g e d , get new ones.

C h e c k that retainer clip (4) has no cracks or broken ends.
