I n s p e c t i o n and Repair.

( 1 ) Pitman arm shaft with integral lever assembly.

FRAME 1

C h e c k that pitman arm shaft with integral lever assembly (1) is not cracked,

s c r a t c h e d , scored, cut or worn. T a k e out small scratches and scoring with a

h o n i n g s t o n e . If more repair is needed, get a new pitman arm shaft.

C h e c k that integral lever block pin (2) and block (3) have no raised metal or

s c r a t c h e s . Rub off raised metal with fine mill file. If parts are damaged in any

o t h e r way, get new ones in their place.

C h e c k that roller bearing and stud assembly (4) is not pitted or worn. If part

is damaged, get a new one in its place.

C h e c k that stud is not loose in roller bearing and stud assembly (4).

IF STUD IS LOOSE, GO TO FRAME 2.

IF STUD IS NOT LOOSE, GO TO FRAME 3
