Take out six nuts (1), lockwashers (2), and flat washers (3).
1.
T a k e off outer bearing cover (4) and needed number of shims (5).
2.
M e a s u r e thickness of shims (5).
3.
If preload checked in frame 21 was more than limits given, use an extra shim
4.
f r o m carrier gasket and shim kit or a thicker shim.
I f preload was less than limits given, use one less shim or a thinner shim.

GO BACK TO FRAME 20
