(8) Sprag assembly.

FRAME

C h e c k that two retaining rings (1) are not cracked, nicked or scored. If

r e t a i n i n g rings are damaged, get new ones.

C h e c k that teeth on two races (2) are not nicked, broken, cracked or worn.

I f teeth are damaged, get new races.

C h e c k that four springs (3) have no kinks, bends or twists. If spring

i s damaged, get a new one.

C h e c k that transfer case washer (4) is not scored, chipped or cracked. If

w a s h e r is damaged, get a new one.

C h e c k that sprag drive race (5) has no chipped retaining ring grooves,

s c o r i n g or burrs. T a k e off burrs using a file. If more repair is needed,

g e t a new sprag drive race.
