Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair.
WARNING
D r y cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use near an
o p e n flame. K e e p a fire extinguisher nearby when sol-
v e n t i s u s e d . U s e only in well-ventilated places. Failure
to do this may result in injury to personnel and damage
t o equipment.
( 1 ) C l e a n i n g . C l e a n fan with dry cleaning solvent, type II (SD-2) Fed.
Spec P-D-680. Wipe with clean, dry rag.
(2) Inspection and repair.
FRAME 1
C h e c k that rivets (1) are tight.
1.
R e p l a c e fan if rivets are loose.
2.
C h e c k that blades (2) have no nicks.
Repair nicks using a mill file.
C h e c k that fan blades (2) are not cracked.
I f fan blades are cracked, get
3.
new fan.
C h e c k that fan hub (3) is not cracked.
I f fan hub is cracked, get new fan.
