7-25. SHIELDED BLACKOUT HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY REPAIR.

NOTE

Repair is limited to removal and replacement

of damaged headlight assembly or removal and

replacement of damaged sealed beam.

Flat-tip screwdriver

TOOLS:

7/16-inch wrench

9/16-inch wrench (2)

7/16-inch socket wrench

None

SUPPLIES:

PERSONNEL: TW O

Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set, light

EQUIPMENT

CONDITION:

switch in OFF position.

NOTE

On all trucks with front winch, blackout light

is above headlight.

Preliminary Procedure.

(1) Disconnect battery ground cable. Refer to para 7-44.

(2) Open hood. Refer to TM 9-2320-211-10.

Removal of Sealed Beam.

Soldier A 1.

Working under fender using 7/16-inch wrench, hold nut ( 1).

Soldier B 2.

Working in engine compartment using 7/16-inch wrench, unscrew

and take out screw (2). Take off ground wire (3).
