(10) Attach the electrical connection (4) to the solenoid valve (5) with the screw.

(11) Grease the pivot pins through the grease fittings where fitted.

(12) Check the hydraulic oil level in the hydraulic tank and top up if required.

Follow on tasks

Switch the battery shutoff switch to the on position.

(2)

Operate the tail lift in accordance with the operator's manual TM 5-5420-279-10 to bleed

any air in the system.

(3)

Check for leaks.

(4)

Seal the screw head on the electrical connection (4) with silicone compound.
