Equipment Conditions
Vehicle switched off and battery shutoff switch in the off position
Top and right hand side engine covers removed in accordance with
PLS TM 9-2320-364 series
a.
Remove
(1)
Gain access to the fluid level float switch by removing engine covers (1, 2 and 3). See PLS
TM 9-2320-364 series.
(2)
Note the position of and remove the two hydraulic pipes (4 and 5) fitted to the return line
filter (6).
(3)
Lift the hydraulic pipe (5) clear of the fluid level float switch (7).
(4)
Remove the electrical connection (8) on the top of the fluid level float switch (7).
(5)
Remove the fluid level float switch (7) by turning it counter-clockwise.
b.
Install
(1)
Fit the fluid level float switch (7) to the hydraulic oil tank.
(2)
Fit the electrical connection (8) to the top of the fluid level float switch (7).
(3)
Fit the hydraulic pipes (4 and 5) to the return line filter (6) in the positions noted during
removal.
c.
Follow on tasks
(1)
Check and fill the hydraulic tank if required.
(2)
Switch the battery shutoff switch to the on position.
(3)
Check the operation of the DSB in accordance with the operator's manual TM 5-5420-279-
10 and check for hydraulic oil leaks.
