5 - 114 CHASSIS - CAB ROTARY SWITCH

INITIAL SETUP:

Tools Required

Tool Kit, General Mechanic's, Automotive (GMTK)

Materials Required

Nyloc nuts (Qty 4)

Lock washers (Qty 6)

Equipment Conditions

Vehicle switched off and battery shutoff switch in the off position

Remove

(1)

Remove the six screws (2) and lock washers (3) securing the panel (4) to the center

console in the vehicle cab.

(2)

Tilt the panel (4) forward.

(3)

Remove the screw (5) securing the lever (6) to the rotary selector switch (1).

(4)

Remove the lever (6).

(5)

Note the positions of and remove the three electrical cables (9) on the rear of the rotary

selector switch (1).

Remove the four nyloc nuts (8) and star washers (7) securing the rotary selector switch (1)

to the panel (4).

(7)

Remove the rotary selector switch (1) from the panel (4).

Install

(1)

Position the two halves of the rotary selector switch (1) on the panel (4).

(2)

Secure the rotary selector switch (1) in place with the four star washers (7) and new nyloc

nuts (8).

(3)

Fit the lever (6) to the rotary selector switch (1) and secure in place with the screw (5).

(4)

Fit the three electrical cables (9) to the rotary selector switch (1) in the positions noted

during removal.

Fit the panel (4) to the center console and secure in place with the six lock washers (3) and

screws (2).
