(1) Discontinue all fluid sampling of the H-47 hydraulic system. The sampling is currently required IAW

CH-47-00-ASAM-03 (TB 1-1520-240-20-121), TM 55-1520-240-23-1, Task 1-92, Operating Time Special Inspection

10.2, and TM 1-1520-252-23-1, Task 1-100, Operating Time Special Inspection 2.2.

Change the CH-47D hydraulic fluid purification interval to 400 hours.

Hydraulic system filters will be replaced at system purification.

Update appropriate TMs IAW para 12.2. of this message.

c. ULLS-A units may use this message as authority to delete Inspection Number A137 from the Inspection LCF

(DA Form 2408-18).

d. Manual record keepers may use this message as authority to delete the 50 hour Utility and Primary Hydraulic

Fluid Sample from the DA Form 2408-18.

e. Clear the initial entry from para 4.1. and note compliance on DA Form 2408-15, Historical Record For Aircraft.
