Readings must be within limits given in table 2-31. The letter
L indicates a loose fit and the letter T indicates a tight fit.
If readings are not within given limits, throw away part and
get a new one.
1.
Measure fit of expansion plug (1) in housing bore (2).
2.
Measure fit of input shaft rear bearing (3) in bearing bore (4).
3.
Measure fit of countershaft rear bearing outer race (5) in bearing bore (6).
4.
Measure fit of rear output shaft rear bearing outer race (7) in bearing bore (8).
