Cleaning.
WARNING
D r y cleaning solvent is flammable. Do not use
n e a r an open flame.  K e e p a fire extinguisher
nearby when solvent is used. Use only in
w e l l - v e n t i l a t e d places. Failure to do this may
r e s u l t in injury to personnel and damage to
equipment.
( 1 ) Using a steam cleaner, clean all parts of cab that are normally exposed
t o moisture.  C l e a n all other metal parts with dry cleaning solvent.
(2) Using wire brush, brush rust off metal parts. Refer to TM 9-247 for
a d d i t i o n a l cleaning materials.
d. Inspection and Repair.
( 1 )  C h e c k that all panels and moving parts are not damaged in any way. If
a n y damage i s found, repair by welding or straightening or get a new part.  R e f e r
to TM 9-237 f o r w e l d i n g p r o c e d u r e s .
( 2 )  C h e c k that all cab welds are not damaged and that there are no bends.
d e n t s or cracks in cab.  R e f e r to FM 43-2 for repair of sheet metal. Repair other
d a m a g e by welding if parts will not be damaged or distorted by welding. Refer to
TM 9-237.
( 3 ) C h e c k t h a t f r a m e s , r e t a i n e r s , s e a l , and other small cab parts are not
w o r n or damaged.  T h r o w away damaged parts and get new ones.
