6-11. ENGINE COOLING FAN REMOVAL AND REPLACEMENT.

7/16-inch wrench (2)

TOOLS: 3/4-inch wrench (2)

l/2-inch wrench

Flat-tip screwdriver

PERSONNEL: One

EQUIPMENT CONDITION: Truck parked, engine off, handbrake set.

a. Preliminary Procedure. Drain cooling system. Refer to para 6-13.

b. Removal.

Using 3/4-inch wrenches, loosen four nuts (l). Push up two braces (2) and

pull top of brush guard (3) away from radiator (4).

2. Using l/2-inch wrench, unscrew and take off two nuts (5) and washers (6).
