3-4. UNPACKING OF EQUIPMENT.

b. Use lifting rings on frame to lower platform to ground.

c. Unstrap hand rails.

3-5. CHECKING UNPACKED EQUIPMENT.

a. Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment.

If the equipment has been damaged, report the damage on DD Form 6,

Packaging Improvement Report.

b. Check the equipment against the packing slip to see if the

shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in accordance with

instructions in DA PAM 738-751.

c. Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.

3-6. ASSEMBLY OF EQUIPMENT.

a. Place handrails in sockets and secure with setscrews.

b. Install air hose inside right handrail with fishtape in

accordance with paragraph 3-27.

c. Install electrical wires inside left handrail in accordance

with paragraph 3-27.

d. Install outlet boxes to ends of wires and make wire

connections as shown in figure 3-1.
