a. General. Disassembly or major repair of the hydraulic cylinder

assembly should not be attempted by AVUM. Repair of the cylinder

assembly will normally be accomplished by the supporting AVIM unit.

Refer to figure 3-5 for exploded view.

b. Removal.

(1) Remove hydraulic hose

(1) from cylinder assembly (2) .

(2) Remove bolt attaching

cylinder ram to inside scissors

(3).

(3) Remove bolt attaching

cylinder to outside scissors (4).

c. Inspection.

(1) Inspection of the

removed cylinder assembly is not

applicable. Install new cylinder

assembly as described in

paragraph 3-17.h.
