Equipment Conditions
Chest pack removed from the vehicle
a.
Remove
(1)
The chest pack electrical harness is a harness with a military plug connector at each end.
(2)
Twist the military plug counter-clockwise to remove the from the chest pack.
b.
Install
(1)
Fit the chest pack electrical harness to the chest pack by aligning the military plug on the
chest pack socket and turning it clockwise.
c.
Test
(1)
Carry out cable continuity test (see unit maintenance procedure 5-142).
(2)
Carry out cable shorting test (see unit maintenance procedure 5-143).
(3)
If the harness fails either test, return it to Special Repair Activity.
d.
Follow on task
(1)
Fit the chest pack electrical harness to the DSB and check the operation of the chest pack
in accordance with the Operator's manual TM 5-5420-279-10.
