5 - 109 CHASSIS - CHEST PACK EMERGENCY STOP

INITIAL SETUP:

Materials Required

None

Equipment Conditions

Chest pack removed from the vehicle

Remove

(1)

Remove the 14 screws and washers securing the chest pack panel (2) to the chest pack.

(2)

Locate the emergency stop switch (1).

(3)

Note the position of and remove the quick release plug (8) from the printed circuit board.

(4)

If required, note the positions of the cables (7) and remove them from the contactor (6) by

turning the securing screws (10) counter-clockwise until the cables (7) are released.

(5)

Press down on the contactor release lever (9) and remove the three contactors (6) from the

carrier (5).

(6)

Remove the carrier (5) from the emergency stop switch (1).

(7)

Turn the lock screw (4) counter-clockwise to release the lock plate (3).

(8)

Remove the lock plate (3) from the emergency stop switch (1).

(9)

Remove the emergency stop switch (1) complete with seal (11).

Install

(1)

Fit the emergency stop switch (1) complete with seal (11) to the chest pack panel (2).

(2)

Fit the lock plate (3) to the emergency stop switch (1).

(3)

Turn the lock screw (4) clockwise and tighten.

(4)

Fit the carrier (5) to the emergency stop switch (1).

(5)

Fit the three contactors (6) to the carrier (5).

(6)

Fit the cables (7) to the contactors (6) and secure in place with the securing screws (10) in

the positions noted during removal.
