(3) Inspect cushions for adequate bonding after adhesive has cured.
i. Closure Fasteners Replace missing or damaged fastener assemblies or their component parts on main rotor black box
as required Replace fastener retaining rivets by drilling or grinding away the flared ends and using a punch to back rivets

NOTE
Take care not to bend, dent or otherwise deform fastener mounting surface when removing rivets

Other parts. Replace damaged or missing gaskets, mounting brackets, rails, pads and other parts as required
k  Painting. Touch-up exterior surface of container including the closure gasket capacity. as required Apply one coat of
epoxv primer conforming to Mil-P-53022, Type II, if needed. Apply two coats of polyurethane coating conforming to MIL-
C-46168. Type II, Fed-Std- 595 color no 34094 (Green 383). lnterior surfaces without CARC arc touched-upper
procedures Interior surfaces without CARC should be touched-up ,with acrylic lacquer conforming to MIL-L-19538, Fed-
Std-595 color no 34087 (Olive Drab).

Markings. Renew markings which are defaced or unreadable. Use polyurethane coating conforming to MIL-C-46168,
Type II, Fed-Std- 595 color no 37038 (Aircraft Black).
m Installation Instructions. Replace installation instructions that are missing from record receptacle with instructions
reproduced on a good grade of bond paper. Replace instructions that are either unreadable, not displayed on inside wall in
bottom section of container, or not in an area that provides for easy viewing when item is installed. Cement reproduced
instructions in place with adhesive conforming to MMM-A-250, Type II. Apply adhesive completely under and over paper
to provide waterproof protection.
