(2) Retail Stock.  Upon receipt of this TB commanders and others maintaining retail stock at
installation level and below shall contact the supported aviation unit to perform the inspection required by
paragraph 8. All paragraph 7 items from American General (CAGE 1W160) found in retail stock are to be
demilitarized and disposed IAW paragraph 10. Report compliance with this TB IAW paragraph 14d(2).

Task/Inspection Suspense Date. During next 20 flight hours/30 days.

Summary of the Problem.

a  The bellcrank support, P/N 70400-08158-101 manufactured by American General, cage code
1W160, have not been tested, due to non-availability of testable parts, and must be removed from service.
Engineering estimates that 100 hours of additional service is acceptable without incurring a significant risk
due to this component.

c.  The purpose of this TB is to remove all bellcrank support, P/N 70400-08158-101, manufactured
by American General (CAGE 1W160) under contract DAAJ09-84-C-A333.

8.  lnspection Procedures. Verify visually that bellcrank support, P/N 70400-08158-101 manufactured
by American General (CAGE 1W160) is installed on the aircraft. The cage number can be found on a label
which is visible on the side of the component. If the specified bellcrank support is not identified, the inspection
is completed (Report per paragraph 14b). If specified ballcrank support is identified, remove IAW paragraph
9.  Correction Procedure Replace all bellcrank support P/N 70400-08158-101, manufactured by
American General (CAGE 1W160) using normal maintenance practices IAW TM 1-1520-237-23, paragraph
11.30.11, and TM 1-1520-250-23, paragraph 11.26.11 at the next scheduled maintenance but no later than
the next 100-hours or one year from the date of this TB whichever comes frost. Dispose of IAW paragraph
10d.
10. Supply/Parts and Disposition.
a.  Parts Required. Bellcrank Support, P/N 70400-08158-101, NSN 1615-01-092-6792, 1EA, may
be required to replace part cited in paragraph 7.
b.  Requisitioning Instructions. Contact logistical point of contact in paragraph 16b for requisitioning
instructions. Requisition replacement parts using project code XDN.
c.
Bulk and Consumable Materials. N/A
d.  Disposition. Demilitarize/mutilate any paragraph 7 part/component manufactured by American
General (Cage 1W160) and dispose of using normal supply procedures.
e.  Disposition of Hazardous Material. In accordance with environmental protection agency directives
as implemented by your servicing environmental coordinator (AR 200-1)
