C h e c k that all threaded parts are not stripped or damaged. Repair minor

t h r e a d damage with a thread chaser or tap. I f more repair is needed, get

new parts.

C h e c k that flywheel housing (1) and cover (2) have no cracks, nicks, burrs

o r scratches on gasket surfaces. T a k e off small nicks, burrs or scratches

with a fine mill file. I f more repair is needed, get a new part.

C h e c k fitting (3) for damage.

I f fitting is damaged, get a new one.
