CAUTION

D o not turn reamer (1) to the left while reaming valve

g u i d e s (2). Never force reamer into valve guide. Damage

t o valve guide will result.

NOTE

Do this frame only for valve guides (2) that have been

changed.

S l o w l y turn 0.4392 to 0.4390-inch external diameter reamer (1) to the right

w h i l e pushing reamer lightly into valve guide (2) until reamer is all the way

through valve guide.

W h i l e turning reamer (1) to the right, pull it out of valve guide (2).

M e a s u r e inside diameter of valve guide (2) after reaming. If inside diameter

o f valve guide (2) is less than 0.4388 inch, do steps 1 and 2 again. Make sure

y o u are using right size reamer.

I f inside diameter of valve guide (2) is more than 0.4394 inch, knock it out.

Refer to frame 12. Get a new valve guide and put it in. Refer to frame 14.

T h e n do steps 1, 2 and 3 again with right size reamer.
