CAUTION

A n oil transfer liner (1) is found in crankcase web (2).

I t is there to pipe oil through crankcase web into main

o i l gallery in crankcase (3). Do not take out this oil

t r a n s f e r liner.

C h e c k that rear camshaft bearing (4), rear intermediate camshaft bearing (5),

f r o n t intermediate camshaft bearing (6), and front camshaft bearing (7) are

n o t pitted or worn or discolored from overheating.

I f any camshaft bearing (4, 5, 6, or 7) is pitted or worn or discolored from

o v e r h e a t i n g , take them all out using camshaft bushing remover and replacer

k i t . Then go to frame 10.

C h e c k that rear camshaft bearing (4), rear intermediate camshaft bearing (5),

f r o n t intermediate camshaft bearing (6), and front camshaft bearing (7) have

n o nicks, burrs or cracks.

I f any camshaft bearing (4, 5, 6, or 7) has nicks, burrs or cracks, take

t h e m all out using camshaft bushing remover and replacer kit. Then go to

frame 10.
