NOTE
Main bearing caps (1) and bearing saddles (2) are called
by numbers one to seven counting from front to rear of
crankcase (3).
The number seven main bearing cap (1) has a slot on
each side for rubber oil seals.
Put number seven main bearing cap (1) on number seven bearing saddle (2).

Mounting holes in number seven main bearing cap must line up with screw
h o l e s in number seven bearing saddle.
P u t number seven main bearing cap (1) on number seven bearing saddle (2).

C o a t two bolts (4) and washers (5) lightly with engine lubricating oil. Put in

a n d hand tighten two bolts and washers.
U s i n g torque wrench, tighten two bolts (4) to 80 to 90 pound-feet.
4.
U s i n g torque wrench, tighten two bolts (4) to 115 to 120 pound-feet.
