NOTE
Seven main bearing caps (1) and seven bearing saddles
(2) are called by numbers one to seven counting from
front to rear of crankcase (3).
The number three main bearing cap (1) is marked with
the number 3.
1.
P u t number three main bearing cap (1) on number three bearing saddle (2).
Mounting holes in number three main bearing cap must line up with screw
h o l e s in number three bearing saddle.

C o a t two bolts (4) and washers (5) lightly with engine lubricating oil. Put
i n and hand tighten two bolts and washers.
U s i n g torque wrench, tighten two bolts (4) to 80 to 90 pound-feet.

U s i n g torque wrench, tighten two bolts (4) to 115 to 120 pound-feet.
