1.
I f working on flame heater type A or B, take out four nts and lockwashers
( 1 ) . Take off flame heater harness clamp (2) and flame heater assembly (3).
T a k e off and throw away flame heater-to-intake manifold gasket (4).
NOTE
On some engines, ignition coil (5) may be mounted on top
o f engine instead of next to flame heater assembly as
s h o w n . I f ignition coil (5) is not mounted as shown, do
n o t do step 2.
2.
U n s c r e w nut (6) and take out wiring harness (7).
IF WORKING ON FLAME HEATER TYPE C, GO TO FRAME 3.
IF WORKING ON FLAME HEATER TYPE A OR B, GO TO FRAME 4
