Remove two screws (17), nuts (18), and

guard (20) from muffler guard (16).

Remove two nuts (21),

lockwashers (22), washers (23), and

guard support bracket (24).

Remove nut (25), lockwasher (26),

washer (27), and guard support

bracket (28).

Remove clamp (29).

NOTE

Flanged exhaust tail pipe is used on

M1977-CBT only. All others do not use a

flange.

Loosen nut (30) and remove rain

cap (31) from exhaust tail pipe (32).

Remove exhaust tail pipe (32) from

muffler (4).
